Consequently, we know more about the brain than we ever have before. At the same time, we haven't begun to make a dent in what the brain can really do. It is amazing to me, for example, that memory has been studied experimentally for over 100 years, yet we still don't have a complete understanding of how that critical mechanism works.<br /><br />Over the course of this semester, I am hoping we can use this blog to discuss some of these new and exciting findings, while maintaining a skeptical eye.
